On May 16th 2023, The Vietnam Association for Non-Public Preschool Education (VANPPE) and KidsOnline were honored to welcome a team of MSc students, from Ivey Business School, University of Western Ontario and Program Manager from ABROADER, under their Ivey Global Lab in this year.
In this program, Ivey MSc students helped VANPPE and KidsOnline to interview and capture best practices in introducing STEM, coding and robotic curriculum to preschool age children in different Vietnamese preschools and suggest the way forward. The 8-week internship program’s objective is to assist the research team in gathering data for a survey and to offer analysis based on interviews on the real teaching environment in non-public preschools in Vietnam.
During the first session at the workplace, the students got chance to converse, learn about the corporate culture as well as dicuss appropriate implementation method while working directly with teachers and preschool children in Vietnam. Through this project, VANPPE and the research students hope to introduce the STEM approach to Vietnamese schools while also listening to teachers’ concerns and coming up with solutions to address them.
