In 2023, VANPPE focuses its activities in three areas:
- Intensified preschool teachers’ development
- Support to MOET’s pilot and launching of Vietnam’s new ECE curriculum
- Facilitating digital transformation in preschool education, specifically preschool education management systems, kindergarten 4.0 and data-driven preschool education
With regards to preschool teacher’s development activities, VANPP actively engages and coordinates with MOET’s ECE Department and Teachers’ Department in preschool teacher training activities, following the annual teachers training program launched by MOET. Specifically, we make sure that VANPPE members receive timely information and can register to annual teacher training programs organized by MOET, coordinate communication and organization of teacher training programs at provincial and district levels.
VANPPE continues our support to MOET’s ECE Department to roll out Vietnam’s National ECE curriculum, through the following activities:
- Organize non-public preschool/kindergarten teacher forum for the purpose of sharing experiences, via thematic community activities, Q&A sessions about the new national ECE curriculum;
- Organize seminars/talk shows on in-depth analysis of the new national ECE curriculum, with the participation of experts from the Department of Early Childhood Education, Vietnamese and international practitioners in the field of early childhood education to share experiences, best practices and related topics;
- Conduct consultative workshops for VANPPE members in selected provinces/cities across the country to help MOET’s Department of Early Childhood Education collect diverse opinions on the scenarios for rolling out the new national ECE curriculum in each locality, the contextualization in the implementation of the new ECE curriculum by geography and demographics.
In the area of facilitating continued digital transformation in early childhood education, VANPPE will coordinate with the Department of Early Childhood Education in guiding the improvement of the quality and efficiency of the management of ECE establishments, conduct surveys and receive opinions from members about difficulties and limitations in the digital transformation of non-public preschool institutions, call for support from ICT companies and potential grant-making organizations.
VANPPE recently presented cases of early successes in digital transformation in Vietnam’s early childhood education at Education Policy and Innovation Conference 2023, organized by The Global Partnership for Education Knowledge and Innovation Exchange (KIX).
